Top inspirations for pursuing writing:
Growing up watching my mom go to college, nursing school and medical university and then practicing nursing.
Watching my dad write, rehearse and perform The Blues.
Observing my aunt and uncle create, market and sell art.
Growing up Uptown in the Graffiti era of New York City and attending school situated at the Graffiti Hall of Fame.
Graffiti inspired to want to be a writer probably more than anything, my family showed me where writing could take me, but Graffiti showed me I could do it in a totally individuated manner. With Graffiti anybody could say whatever they want -whereever they want in particlar.
With Graffiti too I learned my first duality of polarity. It was obvious to anyone that the expression 'A picuture paints a thousand words,' was true. With Graffiti it was obvious to me that a word paints a thousand pictures.
Graffiti inspired me to write fiction and philosophy and pursue my interests with the operative, code and honor of writer.
